The Certified Jets Card — membership by application
A private jet membership with fixed rates and aircraft guaranteed on 24 hours’ notice from nine hubs.
A private jet membership for people who fly between the Gulf, Europe, the Americas, Asia and Africa — priced by region and aircraft category, not by the market on the day. Issued by application only.
In practice it is a jet card. You fund a balance, your hourly rates are locked for twelve months from that day, and an aircraft is guaranteed with 24 hours’ notice from our hubs or 72 hours’ notice elsewhere in each region.
What a private jet membership is, and which kind this is
‘Private jet membership’ and ‘private jet club’ are used for three different arrangements. The difference matters more than the name.
Access membership
An annual fee buys access to a booking service or to member pricing. What it includes, and whether anything is guaranteed, varies by programme.
Jet card
You fund a balance in advance and fly against it at fixed hourly rates, with availability on stated notice. You own no aircraft and carry none of its costs.
Fractional ownership
You buy a share of a specific aircraft for a set term and pay the programme’s fees on top. The share has a value when you exit.
The Certified Jets Card is a jet card. It is issued by application. Rates are fixed by region and aircraft category for twelve months from the day you fund it, with no blackout dates and no peak-day surcharges. Aircraft are guaranteed with 24 hours’ notice from nine hubs and 72 hours’ notice elsewhere in each region. The balance is held in a dedicated client account and is non-refundable.
Not a card for everyone
The Certified Jets Card is issued by application only. We accept a limited number of members in each region so that every guarantee we make can be kept — on the days it matters, not only the quiet ones.
Who we accept
Private individuals, family offices, corporate flight departments and government protocol offices who fly often enough that certainty is worth more than a quote-by-quote search.
How applications are reviewed
Every application is read personally by a private jet advisor. We look at how you fly, where you fly and what you expect of the people arranging it. Not every application is approved.
Limited by region
Membership numbers are capped per region against the capacity we hold with our operators. When a region is full, applications are waitlisted rather than accepted on weaker terms.
Who it is not for
If you fly fewer than fifty hours a year, or only ever from one airport, ad-hoc charter will usually serve you better and we will say so.
Why members hold the card
Six things the card is built around.
Fixed hourly rates by region and category
From light jet to ultra-long-range, in every region we serve, locked for twelve months from the date you fund the card.
Guaranteed availability
An aircraft confirmed with 24 hours’ notice from our hubs, every day of the year. Elsewhere in each region, 72 hours.
No blackout dates. No peak-day surcharges.
Eid, Christmas, the summer exodus — the same rate. Peak days simply ask for a little more notice.
Your balance is ring-fenced
Every member’s balance is held in a dedicated client account, never pooled with operating cash, and drawn only after each flight is flown.
The Certified standard
Every flight is operated by a licensed air carrier, which holds operational control of it. We work mainly with operators we have approved over years of working with them. Before an aircraft is offered to you, we confirm the carrier’s operating certificate and review its safety record, and in some cases we also check crew licences. These checks are how we choose what to offer you; they are not a safety rating or a guarantee of safety. The operating carrier is named on every confirmation.
One balance, every region
A light jet out of Dubai on Monday, a Global out of London on Friday — from the same card, with no positioning charge between our hubs.
Guaranteed from nine hubs
Aircraft guaranteed with 24 hours’ notice at fixed rates from nine hub airports. Departures elsewhere in a region are confirmed with 72 hours’ notice, and long-haul between hubs carries no positioning fee.

Card, charter, share, or aircraft
Annual hours decide this more than anything else. Tell us roughly how much you fly and the table will point at the option that usually fits — including the ones we would not sell you.
Compared with on-demand charter, the card gives up price flexibility in exchange for certainty. You commit funds in advance; your hourly rate is then fixed, and an aircraft is guaranteed on stated notice. Compared with a fractional share, it ties up no capital in an aircraft and leaves nothing to sell when you stop. Compared with whole ownership, it carries none of the aircraft’s fixed costs or depreciation, but it also gives you none of the control over one specific aircraft.
| Consideration | Ad-hoc charter | Certified Jets Card | Fractional share | Whole ownership |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Typically suits | Under 50 hours a year | 50 to 200 hours a year | 200 to 300 hours a year | Above 300 hours a year |
| Commitment | None, priced per trip | Pre-funded balance, by application | Share for a fixed term | Outright purchase |
| Capital tied up | None | None: funds only, held in a dedicated client account | Yes, for the term | Yes, the full asset |
| Pricing certainty | Market rate on the day | Fixed rates by region and category | Contracted rates | You carry every cost directly |
| Availability | Subject to what is free | Guaranteed with 24 hours’ notice from hubs, 72 hours elsewhere in each region | Contracted notice periods | Yours, subject to maintenance |
| Aircraft choice | Matched to each trip | Any category on the card, changed trip by trip | The type in your share | One aircraft, every trip |
| Crew and maintenance | Operator handles it | The operating carrier handles it | Programme handles it | Yours to manage or delegate |
| Getting out | Nothing to exit | Balance is non-refundable | Exit at end of term | You must sell the aircraft |
| Residual value | None | None | Share value at exit | You keep it, and the depreciation |
Bands are indicative. Route length, passenger numbers and how much notice you typically give all move the answer — a hundred hours of short regional sectors is a different decision from a hundred hours of transatlantic flying.
Terms you should know, and the questions people ask
Published plainly, because these are the clauses people discover late elsewhere. The membership agreement governs; read it before you fund anything.
Is the Certified Jets Card a private jet club?
It is a membership in the sense that it is issued by application and not every application is approved. In substance it is a jet card: a pre-funded balance drawn at fixed hourly rates by region and aircraft category, with an aircraft guaranteed on stated notice. It is not an access subscription and it is not a share in an aircraft.
What does it cost?
Rates are fixed per region and aircraft category and disclosed on approval, together with the funding levels for each membership. They are not published here because they are agreed with members, not advertised to the market.
Is availability really guaranteed?
Yes, from our nine hubs with 24 hours’ notice, and elsewhere in each region with 72 hours’ notice, every day of the year. On published peak days we ask for 48 hours more. Guarantees are backed by capacity agreements with our operators, which is why membership is capped per region.
How is a jet card different from on-demand charter?
On-demand charter is priced trip by trip at the market rate on the day. It needs no commitment, and nothing guarantees that a suitable aircraft will be free. The card fixes your hourly rate for twelve months from the day you fund it and guarantees an aircraft with 24 hours’ notice from our hubs and 72 hours elsewhere in each region. In return, you pre-fund a balance that is non-refundable. If you fly only occasionally, on-demand charter is usually the better answer, and we will tell you so.
How does it compare with fractional ownership?
A fractional share buys part of a specific aircraft for a fixed term, and the share has a value when you exit. The card buys no aircraft. There is nothing to sell at the end, no residual value and no depreciation, and your funds sit in a dedicated client account, not in an asset. The table above shows where each usually fits.
Does the card suit someone based in the UAE?
Dubai is one of our nine hubs, so an aircraft is guaranteed from Dubai with 24 hours’ notice. Departures elsewhere in the region need 72 hours’ notice. Peak days such as Eid carry no surcharge and no blackout, but they need more notice. Whether the card fits depends on how much of your flying starts in the Gulf and where it goes. Tell an advisor your usual routes and we will set out what the card guarantees on each.
Are there repositioning fees?
Not from our hubs, and not on long-haul between them. Outside a hub, positioning is quoted before you confirm rather than discovered on the invoice, and bookings made fourteen or more days ahead qualify for the Advance Rate.
Where is my money held?
In a dedicated client account in your name reference, separate from Certified Jets’ operating cash. Funds are drawn only after each flight is flown, and every drawdown appears on your monthly statement.
What is included in the rate?
Flight time, crew, standard catering and handling at our hubs. US rates include federal excise tax. Local taxes, de-icing and ground transport are itemised at cost, and on African sectors fuel variance, permits and crew overnights are passed through at cost.
Daily minimums and cancellations
Each category carries a daily minimum, which is shorter within the Gulf. Cancellation is free up to 48 hours before departure, or 72 hours on peak days; inside that, the daily minimum applies.
What happens if the aircraft has a technical problem?
The operating carrier decides whether an aircraft is fit to fly. If a booked aircraft cannot fly, we arrange a replacement, and any difference in cost between the replacement and the aircraft you booked is charged to you as the member.
Can my family or staff use it?
Yes. Each membership carries authorised users — family, executives or delegation staff — who can book against the balance, with the number of users rising by tier.
What if my flying changes?
Balances are valid for 24 months, 36 months on Gold and Black, and are non-refundable. Fund the card at the level of flying you are confident of and top up when you need to.
Who operates the flight?
Certified Jets is an air charter broker. We arrange your flights; we do not own or operate aircraft, and we hold no air carrier certificate. Every flight is operated by a licensed air carrier: in the United States, a carrier certificated to operate under Part 135; elsewhere, the holder of an air operator certificate (AOC) or the local equivalent. That carrier is the operator of record and holds operational control of the flight, meaning the authority to initiate, conduct or terminate it. It is named on your confirmation before you fly.
